Sweethaven Farm, on Weatogue Road in Salisbury, began growing fresh herbs and flowers for restaurants and Farmers’ Markets in 1986. Owner Noreen Driscoll Breslauer crafted many of the dried herbs and flowers grown on the farm and sold her wares at regional craft shows. In 1989, the Herb Barn at the farm opened for retail sales and the new greenhouse was flourishing with herb seedlings and an unusual variety of annuals for sale and use in the cut flower garden. November of 1996 was the opening of the retail shop in the center of Salisbury. The Sweethaven Farm Shop was a unique blend of garden artistry and vintage wares. Gifts from the garden for the garden. After nine years of business in the center of Salisbury, Sweethaven Farm has moved back home to a larger retail space offering the same quality wares.
